Jisc Digifest, 7-8 March
The programme of events for this year’s Digifest is now available at https://www.jisc.ac.uk/digifest
The venue is Birmingham ICC, and tickets can also be purchased for online attendance. Themes include digital strategy and skills, virtual reality, AI, curriculum design and student wellbeing.
Of particular interest will be the following two events:
- Tuesday 7 March, 3 pm. Panel discussion: ‘Supporting FE innovation with the digital innovation tool’. Jisc’s Digital elevation tool allows colleges to assess their current digital maturity levels and support their innovation journey in all aspects of college life: leadership, governance and culture, learner and staff experience, curriculum development and underpinning technologies. This panel discussion, made up of a range of users on different stages of this innovation journey, highlights how the tool can support that unique process of digital transformation and turn imaginative thought into real action.
- Wednesday 8 March, 11.45 am. Presentation: ‘What does that button do? Shifting digital culture and innovation, engagement and attainment at Nottingham College’. The story of how a small but perfectly formed team of six is at the forefront of developing and promoting a culture of digital curiosity, innovation and increased collaboration to help drive up standards in teaching, learning and assessment in one of the UK’s largest FE colleges.
