E-book introduction sessions for teaching staff CPD
If teaching staff are having CPD sessions this academic year, remember that Andrew Jackson can be booked to give an online introduction to the e-book collection, an overview of Ebook Central, and useful functions like creating reading lists in the Bookshelf feature.
These sessions will typically last 30 minutes plus some time for Q&A, but can be tailored to fit your requirements. Please email andrew.jackson@jisc.ac.uk to discuss further.
Horizontal format for some new titles
We are aware that some of this year’s new titles have been delivered in a horizontal-scrolling EPUB format by the publishers, which makes navigation sub-optimal in the Ebook Central reader – for example, Health T Level: Core (second edition) by Hoare, Adams & Riley (ISBN 9781036005115, doc ID 31291299). ProQuest have responded: ‘The team have gone back to the publisher for revised files, so will let you know as soon as we have them.’
