Purchasing round 2024
We had our Focus Group meeting on 17th April, to discuss the scoring outcomes of the 850 titles on offer this year and to give shape to a shortlist. A purchase list has now been chosen, and has been passed on to ProQuest to inform the publishers – we now need to wait until the publishers confirm the e-version availability of their titles by 1st September (some newly-published titles may still be ‘in process’ and not yet loaded into LibCentral) before we can advertise the list. In years past the confirmed list has been available in early June, but we will circulate it as soon as we have it, to allow for purchasing planning.
A huge thanks to the 14 members of the Focus Group for all their time and expertise this year: three weeks of scoring the list, the 3-hour discussion, and various follow-up responses to requests for advice – we couldn’t do it without you!
