Welcome to the November 2025 issue of our e-books for FE newsletter.

RFI published for e-content platform

As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, future-ready learning resources, we have launched a request for information (RFI) from platform and e-content providers.

This RFI is a public, non-binding market engagement exercise – not a tender or contract offer. Its purpose is to help us understand emerging technologies, platform capabilities and different pricing models. The insights we gain from this process will inform the future direction of our digital content solutions for FE, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of the sector.

Since the last e-books platform tender exercise in 2023, personalised learning, AI and digital innovation have continued to transform education. In parallel, qualification reform, industry alignment and new modes of delivery are shifting provision towards employer-aligned needs and outcomes, creating demand for learning content that is mapped to both current and future skills.

Hachette launch Boost  digital learning platform

Hachette (formerly Hodder) have launched a digital learning platform called Boost, which provides access to their e-book titles, lesson plans, PowerPoints, and videos. Further information (with the exception of any cost details) is available on the Boost Learning web site. If you are already using Boost, or have investigated subscription options with Hachette, we would be keen to hear about your experiences.
