e-books for FE October 2025 newsletter

Welcome to the October 2025 issue of our e-books for FE newsletter.

Switch to Ebook Central reader app

For an overview of the new Ebook Central reader app, you can download this PDF slide deck which was presented by ProQuest at the drop-in sessions in September.

Some quick links to help you prepare:

The aim is to migrate colleges to the new app in national or regional blocks on the same agreed date, to be decided in the coming months, facilitated by Jisc. For example, we are aiming to switch all Northern Ireland colleges over on the same day in 2026, and also the Welsh colleges as a group, and the Scottish colleges as another. For England there will be a regional approach.

The app is for full e-book downloads only, for offline reading; access to the Ebook Central platform will remain as is.
